A single ray of light,

piercing through the veil of night,

Ignites the soul within,

Awakening the soul’s hidden den.

The warm morning sun shines through my window.

The birds chirp, a familiar sound.

Eyelids flutter, consciousness stirs.

Every morning, over and over again.

Its the same thing every day.

But this morning is different.

The colors seem more richer.

A spark ignites deep within my chest,

Burning away the fog of routine.

Memories i’ve forgotten return.

Unlocking truths i have refused to see.

My heartbeat finds a stronger rhythm.

I take a deep breath, reborn.

My spirit has finally been set free.
