It’s been seven days since Adalyn Aurador, princess of Rothia, has gone missing.

She was last seen in her tower, asleep in her bed. The palace guards do not recall seeing or hearing anything suspicious. But the two in charge of protecting her bedroom were fast asleep.

Due to their carelessness, they were sentenced to the guillotine.

Princess Adalyn was a highly respected woman, despite her young age. She had successfully ended plagues, helped with the failing crops, and manage to prevent a feud with a neighboring kingdom. Her selfless acts made her the most beloved member of the royal family.

That is why I believe she was kidnapped by someone hired by a member of the court.

How am I going to prove it? I don’t know.

But I have to, one way or another.

Otherwise I’ll too end up without a head.
