As I step to the stage, I think.

Each red balloon, signifies my past.

It’s been a hard journey, but I won.

1 red balloon shoots to the sky, followed by another 66.

Another 2 red balloons was released.

Then another.

Another and another.

Soon, before I realise, the last 29 balloons appear.

99 red balloons, they fly away, they represent my past.

But you see, there is no more past.

Because I am the woman I need to be, 99 red balloons are let go, in to the past where they belong.

Be strong.

Be brave.

And let it go.

What will be, will be.
