Pet Peeves

Tiny little offs

That throw me off course

The train curves off the track

But no one holds remorse

Too small for a change

Too large for them to see

I sit here stuck

With my pet-peeve

The tapping of a shoe

The feeling of nails

The taste in my tounge

The sloshing of water pails

They make me shiver

Cold down my spine

If only I wasn’t so bothered

And could finally recline

I want to recoil

Go back into the earth

But above the soil

Is hard rocks over the dirt

I shiver and shake

But push myself along

Such a small mistake

Can make it all turn wrong
