We laughed,

We recollected,

But now your voice is so distant,

We wish to grow together,

But the world shifts us apart.

We helped,

But now the warmth is so far,

Life’s forcing us to freeze,

Taunting us with what little it provides.

We lived,

We frolicked,

Enjoyed our company,

But it’s all a shard of our minds now,

You’re implanted in my brain,

Yet you’re so far out of my reach.

We miss,

We cry,

We feel lonesome,

Inking our hearts in black,

Every beam that passes through,

Wrecks with sorrow that grows out.

We talk,

We message,

Still recollect,
