A streak of red

A streak of blue flashed behind his head

In the garden of him with whom I laid my bed

At a time when I was carefree

A spark of life rose up before my eyes

Before he started all his lies

At a time when things seemed peachy

He brought me that bird and swore love to me blind

But then we both lost our minds

And things started to get dusty

The bird, away it flew

To some distant woman new

But my heart was pierced and left bloody on the ground
