Three of us had two days to come up with the plan or face slow death on the neck breaker.

We all knew this device because we witnessed several deaths that had been carried out on the chair.

The chair itself was made out of iron with two sets of collars that were made to put around the neck of a person. Once tightened, the long bar end up with two handles on the side of the chair that were tightened till the person gives up and die

We knew we had to do something, to escape this kind of death and the only way left was to come up with a concrete plan.

We talked half way through the night and decided to take our chances with the men who will come and take us to the chair of death.

As the morning approach we got up by the noise of the door. Two men entered, we got up and prepared ourselves for the worst to come.

As we were passing through the narrow corridor, we overpowered them, tied them to the ground and made our way out through a underground drainage which led us to the outside of the prison.
