POEM STARTER

Write a poem with the title ‘Clear as Crystal’.

Images of clarity and purity are often associated with religious or romantic writing. You may follow tradition, or perhaps you could invert this imagery.

Clear As Crystal

Her heart, her soul, some would say as clear as a crystal

Sharp like a stalagmite and strong as a rock

But none quite know her true form, sealed away with a lock

Clear as a crystal that may be true,

But sometimes she may be broken amethyst too
