ARMored beef roast

The restaurant's door shut as his last customer for the day left with their takeout order. Alex, the newly hired chef watched as every other employee left after doing their part in helping to close and prep the restaurant for the next day. Alex however was always the last the leave the restaurant. Since he was the head chief, he always had the job of prepping the meat. As he headed downstairs into the restaurant's basement, he listened to the sound of people groaning in agony. He turned on the basement's light revealing the ten cages with 4 woman and 6 men all missing one or two body parts. Once they saw him walking down the stairs with an unreadable expression on his face their faces were mixed with horror and pain as they pleaded for their lives. He ignored their pleas as he scanned the room for a reliable source of meat. He walked over to one of the male's cages and took out a key to open it. The man in the cage struggled to back up to the metal bars behind him as a method of comfort as he begged for his life. Alex pulled knife out of his pocket as he neared closer to the man. "Please let me go," he pleaded as his gaze went towards the shiny knife in Alex's hand "I promise I won't tell anyone. I-I'll say I was in a freak accident or something. Please sir I have a family," Alex looked into the man's eyes and scoffed. "Everyone has a family. Besides how do I know you won't run to the police as soon as I let you go?" He looked down at the man's missing leg, a reminder of what he did last week. "Right. Well either way I'm. not letting you go, because then what would I use as meat? You don't want me to go out of business, do you?" He scanned the male's body for a place to cut off and his eye's landed on his arm. Alex walked closer to the man and raised the arm with the knife. Without hesitation he cut the man's arm off and backed away the from the body with the arm. Screams filled the basement as he treated the wound. If his sources were to die, then the meat would go rotten. He carefully took the bones out of the arm and hand before putting the arm in a meat grinder. It should be enough until tomorrow. Once the processing of the meat was done, and he made sure everyone in the cages were fed, he headed home. The next day there was a special for the day named Armored beef roast. It was fairly popular. He would have to thank the man later.
