night to morning

behind the stars, there’s my moon

he wraps me in a midnight tune

we danced the night, not getting cold

he gave me his silver heart to hold

when I lifted my finger he stopped to pause

and started unwrapping the protective gauze

layer by layer, his heartbeat grew faster

the pace was leading to an awful disaster

under the wrap, his heart burned red

the black night died, as morning sun bled

a bright dust overlapped his scars

as the daylight beamed, covering the night stars
