Write an ode, but make it sarcastic.
An ode is a poem that normally focuses on a subject in a positive and glorifying light. Think about how you'll make the tone obviously sarcastic.
An Ode
To the men and women who care
only for themselves and the state
of their bank accounts
Who make the incredible sacrifice
to manipulate stories in honor
of favor to personal agenda
The path is lined with roses
for our dear countrymen
who choose to save us
by sending us to space,
funding billions instead
of feeding millions
Personal glory and gain
never looked so heroic
than it does today
This is an ode to sacrifices
made for the few—the country
of red, white, and blue
