Horror

It was following me, it was running so fast I almost couldn’t get my little legs to carry me fast enough. What was it? I kept thinking to myself. What on earth does this thing want from me? And that’s when I knew what it wanted. I tripped over a rock and fell, my chin scraping against the hard street. It stopped running and stood over me. It’s breath smelled like death and it truly looked as though its face had never once showed a smile. It touched my shoulder. And within that second I knew, my time was up.
