Death By A Rose
Feeling the flowers reach
From my lungs to my throat
I realize my time is up
My eyes squint
At the blinding sun
As its rays peek through the trees
The boy I love runs to my side
His cries of desperation echoing in my ears
Cradling my limp body in his arms
A rose reaches out of my throat
And blooms from my lips
Its thorns prickling my tongue
Death stands over me, waiting
And I close my eyes
Willing to succumb to him
