Anwyn
Juan began. “The guild’s center of power is a fortress called Anwyn. There are three aspects to it. The visible Anwyn is a garden beneath a sphere in Golgonozza. Portals within Anwyn give way to Anwyn in the Air and Anwyn Undersea.
“The garden of Anwyn on land is a meeting place for humans, gnomes, centaurs, fairies, and elves.
“Anwyn in the Air is an aerie in the Bacatete mountains. Humans can survive in the low oxygen environment, but it’s mainly populated by sylphs, elves, and fairies.
“Anwyn Undersea is an underwater city in the Aithinian ocean. There are pockets of oxygen where humans can live. The primary population is merpeople, ondines, whales and dolphins.”
Bucephalus asked “where are my people in these cities?”
Juan spoke circumspectly, so as not to exceed his knowledge. “There aren’t many Giants. Besides you and your family, most Giants stay away from cities and population centers. I suspect they live deep in the mountains. “Whales may be evolved Giants; if you look at a whale’s skeleton, there are tiny legs. There are finger bones within the hands. Can you swim?”
“I can, though I’ve never gone far from shore.”
“Perhaps when this is all finished, we can travel to Anwyn Undersea and try and talk with the whales.”
Bucephalus smiled. “I’d like that.”
