We all stayed in our homes

All alone

We were terrified

That a virus could end us

Passing notes in envelopes

Never has this happened to us

We were all going nuts

We wanted to stay safe

And we put our faith

In masks that we must

We wished it away

But it is here to stay

A vaccine and quarantine

We always looked to the useless authorities

And used so so much disinfectant spray
