When we were younger we used to laugh and play at the playground.

I remember that time when we didn’t have any string to make friendship bracelets so we used your new shoelaces. You’re mom got mad and yelled at us because she just bought them. You laid in your bed, crying because you hated yelling.

Instead of you crying, it’s your mom who’s crying. She wasn’t yelled at, no, she was crying because you’re gone, forever. I hold her hand as she stares into your coffin, you’re wearing a dress. You never liked dresses, you said they were too “girly”. However, what you where isn’t your choice today, you can’t choose what to wear. You can’t spend hours trying on your clothes to find the best outfit. You can’t ask me what I think looks the prettiest. You’re dead.

Your face is burnt. You’re almost indistinguishable, if not for the bracelet made from a shoelace that is tied around your wrist.

My bracelet is all I have left of you. Oh, how I miss you.
