Take Me Home

I reached out my hand as she was swallowed by the crowd. I can only imagine how overwhelmed she must have felt. "Elizabeth! Elizabeth!" I shouted, but it felt like my words disappeared into the air. She seemed so lost, as if she were carrying a heavy burden within. Collapsing to the ground, she broke down in tears, hiding her pain all alone. She had reached her breaking point, just as it seemed everyone wanted her to. As she looked up, her face wore a smile tinged with sorrow. "Molly, please help me," she said. I rushed to her side, ensuring no one was around. I had never witnessed such cruelty towards her – treating her as if she were unworthy, and at times even abandoning her. She needed a friend, and not even her closest confidant was there for her. I enveloped her in a tight embrace. She needed it.
