WRITING OBSTACLE

Submitted by Lizzie Rose.

Write a poem or story about fog, steering away from any horror themes.

Usually when we think of fog, our minds come up with a daunting image. Try to make your story/poem beautiful.

The Girls Perspective On Fog

The fog was grayish, looked like it was melting it the sky. Eight year old Gwen loved the fog. She thought it was beautiful in its own way, the way it swept through the air with that fresh rainy smell. It was the best.

Gwen started to float high above the sky with the fog taking her, she thought it was magical. Something about it lured her towards it. She floated above the beautiful foggy town, the trees with a slight breeze.

Then, she woke up…. Breathing heavily she thought about her dream, it felt… So real! How could this be fake!? She thought to herself.

Next, Gwen walked downstairs and asked her mom if she could go outside because it was a foggy day, her mom nodded and then she got on her bright red boots and ran to her favorite tree. She had brought a book with her.

She climbed the tree one foot infront of another and got to her favorite spot, it was perfect. A nice dent in the tree just for her to sit on, she opened her book and looked off at the beautiful foggy sky. From that moment she knew… Fog was her place to see and to be.

The Foggy End.
