Grief

I sit and watch the early morning sunrise.

The one after you died. The audacity of the sky to be so full of life and color. Bright orange and pink, ruffled clouds. Birds chirping amongst the trees. Cars passing by like nothing happened. We lost you, but only we knew. The sun rising so slowly, lasting forever. Maybe it was you saying goodbye. The voices around me so dull and empty. Just focused on the beautiful sky.
