Before you take that vow

Before you say "I do"

Are you waiting patiently

For God to bring you through?

For He knows your heart

And He knows your need

He has a plan for you

Just trust and believe

Don't rush into love

Let God lead the way

For He knows the perfect time

For your "Mr. Right" to stay

Or your "Mrs. Right" to come

In God's perfect time

So be prepared for the outcome

Of your future, divine

For you'll be spending your life

With the one God has chosen

Make sure you truly love them

Not just with words, but actions

Always put God in your marriage

Keep your vows to Him

For the vows you make on earth

Are also made to Him

Make sure it's God's will

That you're joining together

For the decision is made

By the Holy Spirit, not your own endeavor

God hates divorce

So seek His will before you decide

Seek godly wisdom and guidance

Let His Spirit be your guide

Seek His face, seek His will

Seek His plan and His counsel

For only He knows what's best

And His love for you is boundless

So before you say "I do"

Seek after God's leading and guidance

For He holds the key

To a joyful and blessed marriage.
