An object to be abused

I'm alive and I can feel

Don't play me at your will.

You loved me as a baby

I was so cute and furry

But I have my needs too

And I also go to the loo.

You pull my tail and ears

Ignore my pleas and fears

Then you're angry if I bite

Leave me sleeping outside at night

I don't understand your rules

Humans to me seem fools

If only you listened to what I say

I know you would find a way.

But maybe you don't care

If my life is a nightmare

Rather get rid of me

Pretend nobody else will see

Pet owners, do you realise

Organisations know your lies

Don't make me their responsibility

YOU should worry about me.
