POEM STARTER

Write a poem with the title ‘Clear as Crystal’.

Images of clarity and purity are often associated with religious or romantic writing. You may follow tradition, or perhaps you could invert this imagery.

Clear As Crystal

A thought, a pebble

Tossed in a mind clear as crystal

Can be seen traveling about the eyes

Until it reaches a final resting place

Or as some call it

Conviction

I second what Jawafra has said, these words are wise, and there is nothing more to be said!🙂👏🏻

Great! And ‘conviction’ can have so many nuances for good and bad! I wonder if that pebble sometimes causes the crystal to shatter or break?! What happens to those sharp shards?!

I would definitely call this a ‘wisdom poem’!

I hadn’t considered the word conviction in that way but you are absolutely right. It’s a multifaceted word for sure! As for the pebble and its potentially sharp shards…my, my, my have I known the consequences 👀🙈🙃
