I didn’t think I would be spending my Friday night buying bleach, I should be heading home, maybe buying some snacks, and bingeing a romcom but no, I was at the register with a bottle of bleach under my arm.

“Will that be all?” the cashier says, giving me a look, can’t a girl buy some bleach at 1 in the morning, I almost shrink into myself, placing the bleach bottle down. She scans the bottle, I quickly pay leaving the receipt as I hurry out.

I rush to my car, not having the patience for this anymore, I enter my car, start it up, and set my phone on the stand, it immediately lighting up for a call.

Him of course, I stop myself from rolling my eyes, backing up my car, I click accept on the call, and immediately a loud deep voice greets me.

“We’re the hell are you!” Billy hisses, I stop myself from gritting my teeth, my hand tightening on the steering wheel, turning white.

“I’m coming I just left the store, you know how awkward it is to get bleach at 1 in the morning,” I say, my face flushing.

I hear a chuckle on the other end, rolling my eyes,

“I don’t see anything wrong with that, god forbids someone wants to clean at 1 in the morning,” he says, I just know he has a smile on his face.

I get out of the parking lot, joining into the main road, as I head to the office, my heart physically aching when I pass by the route to my house.

“You know this is your fault,” I say, looking at the phone, his name, Jerk, plastered on the screen.

He laughs out loud at my comment,

“If I don’t recall, you decided to throw things at me when I had my wine, which was very expensive by the way in my hand, and who knew that red wine and a white carpet didn’t go well together”

I have to physically stop myself from shouting at him, instead settling for taking a deep breath, I stop at a red light only a few minutes from the office.

“For your information, you were very annoying but it was very unprofessional for me to have done that, I’m sorry” I and Billy never get along, and always bicker and argue, but tonight went too far, I shouldn’t have thrown anything but I was just so frustrated at his annoying stupid and handsome face, I honestly didn’t expect his wine to spill especially on our bosses new carpet, I mentally slap myself, so instead of cuddling on my couch with my rom-com I’m running to the store to get bleach so I don’t get fired for my childish behavior.

“Was that an apology I heard, I’m flattered”

“That’s the only apology you're gonna get”

“I’m happy with that”

I scoff, smiling to myself.

I park into the parking lot, taking the bleach as I exit my car, locking it twice before I rush into the building, having to run back to my car to fetch my keycard and phone, gosh I need sleep.

“Are you here?” he says

“Yes I’m coming up now, please don’t do anything until I get there” I feel like I’m talking to a toddler.

“Yes mother,” I can hear the eye roll in his tone, what a jerk.

I enter the elevator, heading to the top floor, once the door opens I'm out, speed walking as I head to the door, opening it.

“I’m here I’m here, and I have the bleach” I raise the said bleach, a smile on my face, now let’s pray the wine gets out of the freaking carpet.
