Don’t Wait For The World
I am not
interested
in a world
where
women must say
yes
because
they are
too afriad of
what will happen
if they
say no.
I am
not
interested in
a world that thinks
by putting one
woman on
top
we have
created equality.
Equality
cannot
simply be achieved
with
one
woman.
Men fill up space
and
no man
seems
to worry
that another man in the field
means
he’ll lose
his spot.
Women must also
take up
space.
I am not interested
in a femenism
that
does not include
trans women.
I am not interested
in
a world
where black women must
shout
‘my life
matters!’
I
am not interested
in a
world without empathy
where men’s
response
to ‘stop teaching
women that rape is their fault
and start
teaching men
not to rape’
is
‘but men
get raped too.’
I am
not
interested in
a
world where one
woman
is free but another
is not.
No
woman is
free
while one of us
is not.
No woman has
power while
one
of us
does not.
Women
are precious
beauties deserving of love.
Don’t wait
for the world to
catch up
but bring
it up
to speed.
Don’t wait for the
world to hand you
your turn but
go out
and sieze it.
You are so
much stronger
than you
believe.
Don’t wait
for
the world when
you
could create
it.
