BOOP

A machine reads the pulse of a patiant. Bedridden in a dimly lit hospital room.

BOOP

They are male. Thin, gaunt even. Eyes closed. Comatose.

BOOP

“A conversation can be heard outside the door. Tell the family this one is not gonna make it. Have their loved ones say good bye”

BOOP

A nurse enters the room. They reach for the monitor reading the patients pulse.

CLICK

The machine turns off. The nurse exits the room.

A few moments later. The family enters. They are sobbing and saying their goodbyes. They exit one by one. The nurse reenters and turns on the monitor again.

BOOP

The nurse rolls the bed out of the door and down the hallway.

BOOP

They go through double doors labeled

“Hospital employees only”

BOOP

At the end of the hallway is a dilapidated elevator. A sign in the front reads “out of order”

The nurse takes out a key and inserts it into a panel to the right of the elevator

CLUNK….CRAAAAK…BBRRRRRRRR

BOOP

The elevator comes to life, the doors open almost apprehensively as they are in need of maintainance. The nurse enters the elevator with the comatose patient. Then presses a red button. The only button on the elevator panel.

BOOP

After a ten minute ride the elevator reaches the bottom.

The doors open. The nurse rolls the paitiant down a concrete ramp. In a dark basement room. At the end of the concrete ramp. A strange alter of some kind. Esoteric symbols displayed on the front. The nurse leaves the hospital bed at the foot of the alter. The nurse then recites words in a strange guttural tone”

“FESTUM VOLUCRI BESTIA”

BOOP

The nurse steps back and from a dark tunnel behind the alter. A large insect almost centipede like creature. Emerges from the dark. long horrifying legs. Almost razor sharp, they lift the creature up over the alter. Large mandibles with sharp spikes start to flutter over its dreadful face.

BOOP

Just then then the patiant awakes from his slumber and gazes upon this insectoid abomination.

BOOP BOOP, BOOP BOOP

BEBEBEBEBEBEBEBEBEBEB

The patiant wails in terror

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHGHH”

The creature opens its chest carapace. Using some of its many arms to hold open a cavity in its abdomen, an ethereal spirit manifests and floats above the patiant. A strange green hue makes up its features. A hollow face with no eyes, it screams.

“WEEEEAAAGHHHHHH”

BEBEBEBEBEBEBEBEBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP

The patiant flatlines as the spirits screams suck his life force out.

The spirit retreats back into the insect and the inscect crawls back into the dark tunnel.

The nurse boards the elevator and hits the one red button. The doors reluctantly close.

As they do silence once again befels the dark alter room.
