WRITING OBSTACLE
Submitted by Lizzie Rose.
Write a poem or story about fog, steering away from any horror themes.
Usually when we think of fog, our minds come up with a daunting image. Try to make your story/poem beautiful.
The Lifting Of The Fog
Light has been hiding for days now, the sky has been saddened and teary. The wind has been constantly growing, giving cold air all around me. The sun has been failing to shine and joy is gone and hope is far. The moon has been dark, no star in sight. A dark cloud hanging out covering the world with fear and worry. The rain has been pouring, and pouring no sign of a stop. The air is dark and misty like a fog, its the only source of energy since it allows to hide everything else and protects everyone else from harm. It protects joy and happiness from becoming too deep. Hides the pain and tearfulness of the rain to not let it see. It is stronger then the cold air from the wind. But the wind it keeps on fighting. Keeps growing stronger and stronger. Taking a deaper breathe each time. Until it can’t take anymore and then it lets out its last breath and then just vanishes and just like that the fog gets lifted. The sun comes out and everything then disappears. Leaving the moon to shine brightly with so many stars around it. Hope is not lost, it’s back in the air and it is near. A small sacrifice from the fog was all that was needed. To protect everyone around and to showcase reality and our true feelings. The fog is the part of us we don’t want to be seen but acts as our barrier when we don’t want to believe. The sun is the happiness we feel that we sometimes fake. The wind is our strength that makes us show our weakness. The rain is the tears we don’t want to reveal. At times we want to pretend that everything is fine so we put a fog around us and protect our emotions. But sometimes the best result comes from accepting our emotions and pointing them out and then truly in our hearts the fog we feel can be lifted.
