Sasha told herself. From the time she woke up to the time she went to bed. She couldn’t have feelings for the man her family despised.

History wrote very clearly, their kind couldn’t mingle. A werewolf and a vampire, they were two completely different species.

Still her heart longed for him, to feel him touch her, kiss her, be with her in more ways than one.

Sasha shook her head to remove the dirty thoughts. No absolutely not. Both their heads would be on spikes if the council found out they had relations.

He, Colton Brier, didn’t seem to care if they were found out. Continuously finding ways to be around her. Making her heart flutter.

She paces back and fourth in her room. Her mind and heart fighting over what was right, truly causing her to have a headache.

Shit, he was only a glorified dog, why was she letting this get to her?Planting her hands on her hips, she sighs; how could her heart be saying love is never wrong and her mind slapping her with everything that is wrong with THIS love.

Perhaps it is only her that is falling and Colton is pulling some sick game, or maybe trying to get information out of her?

It can’t be though, the way he looked at her; even hid her when some members of his pack were hunting for Sasha.

Either he is one hell of an actor or she truly has a place in his heart.

It can’t happen.

If they ended up together, there would be a war between werewolf and vampire; unfortunately, possibly getting the mortals caught in the cross fire.

Grabbing her jacket, she departs from her room. If she continues to think about it, the mere thoughts will drive her mad. She has embraced madness before and didn’t wish to return to that place.

Tonight and every night until her mind runs blank. She will lose herself in a night club, dance with strangers and grab a meal on anyone who was dumb enough to touch her ass. She could take their memories then and forget about Colton for a few hours. Forget about any brewing forbidden feelings and lose herself in the life of someone else.
