The Promise
the boy stood calmly in the field
That he swore he could feel
But the sensation he once believed
Now just grasped at the seems,
He woke up in a sweat
The cuts stinging in sets
He laid back in the bed
Feeling as the word owned him a debt,
As he watched other live the life
He so desperately liked
He felt himself swimming up
From the thoughts that clouded the above,
As all he wanted was to live
But he didn’t have enough to give,
As the boy shook in anger
His brain running a ranter,
He gasped for the air
As he was pulled by the hair
He turned to face the man
Only to lay his eyes upon his plan
With his only every friend
Didn’t want him to end,
He calmly took a breath
And placed his hand on the boys chest
Making a promise to live
As long as the whim continued forever to give
