A really nice poem, Bryn. I’ve learned a new word: Eudaimonia! ✨
I love these descriptions of happiness as something transitory. “Slave to circumstance” - great word choices, giving the impression it is conditional, mirroring its rhyming phrase “and emotion left to chance”.
I like the idea of joy being eternal and something that “lives beyond your passing”. And lovely last four lines which show that joy is simply a matter of perspective. Again, rhyme helps to connect these lines and finish the poem satisfyingly.
