The time traveler

I started going through time, all the way from 1893, when I saw this telephone box, I thought it was the most wonderful little telephone box I had ever seen. I knew I had to time travel to the future with it. The future, I thought, I had never been to the future, I wonder what it's like. I have to know. I touched the box and thought of the year 2024. That was so far in the future though. Would I be okay? What if there's something bad in the future. I decided to go anyways. November 6 2024.

I started spinning around. Sometimes I would get too dizzy and just close my eyes and fall asleep. But bad things happen when you fall asleep. I stayed awake and tried not to get too dizzy. Soon, I was there. 2024. There were so many people, so many tall buildings, and the telephone box was gone. I saw a lot of automoblies, but they were different than what we have. It seemed like everyone had one, and there was not a horse to be seen. I started walking. Everyone was saying something about a man named Donald Trump. I didn't really care. I walked some more, until I got to an old house. It took a lot of hours of walking, but I made it. I knocked on the door. A kind looking old woman answered, "Hello, can I help you?" She asked.

"Yes," I said. "I'm far from home, and my car broke down. I was wondering if I could stay here tonight?" I found out a couple hours ago that automobiles were called cars these days. "Oh, you poor thing. Of course you can stay here tonight." She kindly answered.

"Thank you so much," I said. She guided me into her house and showed me all the old things she had. "And this one is from the year 1893," She stated.

"1893?" I asked, making sure I heard her right. It looked very similiar to something I own.

"Yes, it belonged to my mother." Her mother? Does that mean? I'm her mother.

"May I see it?"

"You may."

"Thank you," I touched it, and I started thinking of home, of the year it was, and I started swirling away. The kind old lady soon forgot I was ever there, because when you time traveled everyone who saw you forgot. I had enough of the future. I was ready to go home, and stay home.
