STORY STARTER
In a classic body swap scenario, you wake up as a famous philosopher, about to give a grand speech on the meaning of life to thousands of people.
What will you tell them?
Philosophy’s As The Fake Philosopher
I wake up but not to my own body, I feel… different. I go into the bathroom to look in the mirror, as I look up I was the no other than famous philosopher David Misher. I’m a big fan of the things he can do but I don’t know if I want to be home forever, in the morning magazine he’s about to give the grand speech for the meaning of life.
I need to find a way out of this monstrosity. I will have to do the speech or I will most likely not be out of this body. I quickly get dressed and head to the big library where it is hosted. As I arrived there the back stage crew where pushing me in to go backstage.
I now only had a few minutes until I was up, this is my time to shine as I say of little words of in courage meant. One of the crew members hold of three fingers and counts done, she proceeds to push me forward to the stage. I take one final deep breath before I have to face reality, I tap the mic to see if it’s on and the speakers buzz. As if there saying yes.
“Hello everybody as you all know why I am here is to send a message for everyone to know, what really is the meaning of life?”
“ it’s to cherish every minute and day with the people who you so love, now don’t take what I’m saying for granted. Abusing things like this will lash back at you with harsh consequences, but the main point that of what I am trying to say is enjoy the things in your life that you love. Never forget that”
The crowd cheers, as I wave to all of them then walk off the stage. As I drove home I started to feel dizzy, I pulled over to the side of the road to take a break. I passed out for a few minutes, I look at myself in the mirror realizing I’m back to my normal body again. I sighed of relieve, grinning at myself for being so embarrassingly stupid on the stage while giving the speech. Once I got home I made contact with the famous philosopher .
“You know what happened right?”
“Yes, excellent job with the speech, wish I could have got your autograph”
“Haha, thank you , goodbye now”
To look back at it now I’ve never been more proud of myself.
