Long ago, in a time almost forgotten, there were warriors of great skill that rode into battle upon the backs of giant wolves known as Okami .They were known as Kramora, or in common tongue Wolf Riders, and were revered as heroes to their people. That is until a devastating war wiped them out.

500 years later, the Kramora may rise again and their legacy may once again be heard in the halls of the people. Their stories and legends passed on.

And it all starts with a 13 year-old girl and a wolf pup with silver fur.

Lyria Lockhart has spent the last 5 years training, with the aid of her family and her trusted wolf, Argenta, to become one of the legendary Kramora of old, even if her people don't believe she can do it. Upon hearing that a nearby kingdom is in need of assistance and the High Council refusing help, Lyria sees an opportunity to not only put her training to use but to also prove that she is worthy of calling herself a Kramora.

As Lyria and Argenta leave their home, the only place that they have ever known, Lyria begins to see that living up to the legend of a Kramora is not all its cracked up to be. As mistakes are made, trust is lost, and faith begins waning, Lyria's begins to doubt herself, her dream, and her mission as one question echoes through her mind:
