I’ve never had a lifelong friend

One that’s with me

Til the end

They always come and go

That’s what happens

When you move, can’t grow

She came along

It’s only been ten months

But we’re going strong

She’s always there for me

When I need her

She keeps me, well, me

We’ve been through some tough stuff

In ten months?

Yeah, it’s rough

She respects me

She keeps me in line

I am nobody, but with her I feel seen

She listens to what I say

And I talk a lot

She’s great for putting up with it (every day)

She’s my best friend

And I like to think we’ll stick it

To the very end
