The Day Of Ruins
“Amia.” His voice shaked, Drake’s finger repeatedly tapped amia’s shoulder in a frantic. “Yes?” She turned and her heart froze, “Dr—“ her throat squeezed shut.
“Hey, i was getting the cooler from the trunk and realized you guys didn’t follow me—“ Matthew spotted the reason. “Drake is that…” Matthew eyes swelled with tears as he ran downhill
“WAIT MATTHEW STOP!” Amia chased after him, matthew face burned red from tears and pain. He ran ignoring amia. “Dad! Dad!” His voice ripping to shreds from his hurt and disbelief
“GODDAMN IT MATTHEW STOP!” Amia was still chasing, but matthew was still running and refused to stop, calasping beside his father. His eyes burning from tears as he looked at his father’s missing leg.
Matthew’s father body laid in front of him, his leg missing was now probably some shark dinner and Matthew blamed himself for leaving his father surf alone.
His head spinning as he laid his head over his father dormant heart. Hoping to feel, hear, anything.
But nothing.
Nothing happened.
But Matthew’s world crashing as his father was the only thing he had. “Matthew we’re so sorry,” matthew glanced at his two worried friends, but could care less for their apologies.
“What’s that?” Drake asked, pointing to Matthew’s father gripping a button, Amia reached and grabbed it, clicking the button.
When the ground shook, so did the world of these three kids. Knowing their worlds would never be the same as the watch a boulder move as if a door. Behind a long hallway made of grate.
“Matthew— what the hell is that?!” Amia said stumbling backwards, “Looks like some…Lair?” Drake said peaking his head past the boulder door, Matthew lifted his head and stared for a while, deciding to walk in.
“Matthew— what the hell are you doing!” Amia said, but drake just followed. Leaving Amia with the dead body, She was planning to stay put but the whisper of voices started approaching and being by a dead body isn’t where she wanted to be found.
She walked in behind the two idiot boys and the boulder close them in. A blue light flickered on, giving them clearance to see. “This is so stupid.” Amia muttered
She realized the boys had came to a sudden stop. She rushed behind them “what—“
Blue tanks.
Dead bodies.
Experiment Tables.
What the fuck was happening here underground? And why was Matthew’s father the one holding the key?
