WRITING OBSTACLE
Describe an object’s temperature without using words relating to tactile senses.
Tactile senses, or the sense of touch, are usually what we use to identify whether something is hot or cold. Without this sense, how else can we recognise and describe temperature?
Winter
A soft chilly breeze whispers by
A chill in the air is brought nigh
The season of autumn waves a hand
As winter releases a snowy band
It’s winter! Look around and see
The blanket of snow that covers the trees
A frigid wind makes itself known
As temperatures drop far down below
The icy hills are showing a shiny top
And sneaky storms seem to never stop
A winter in Saskatchewan is always fun
When even the frost seems to run from the sun
But like most seasons it must end
And spring time warmth must amend
The earth after winters chilling rage
It is time again for springs warm page
