Nameless
“Wha-where am I?” The girl with auburn hair muttered.
She was enclosed in a steel room, with an unknown light source making the room bright.
Suddenly, a glass, soundproof window appeared at her right. She saw two humans, in lab coats, talking to each other.
Thankfully, I can read lips. The girl thought.
She peered at their lips, but at that moment, a door appeared.
One of the scientists stepped into the room.
“Where am I?” The girl asked, firmly, for an answer.
The scientist hesitated, then he said, “Lab 1407. Here to make the world a better place by ‘implanting ideas greater than before’.”
The girl did not have to think about what the man said. “You brainwash people?”
The man did not answer.
“What is my name?” The girl asked.
“You have no name.” The man answered firmly, as he began to walk out of the room. “Gonna have to do it again.”
The girl, knowing that they were about to brainwash her again, swiftly shouted, “At least tell me your name!”
The man stopped abruptly and turned around. His eyes darken, and a frown emerged on his face.
“I do not have a name. No one does.”
