The Monster’s Great Claws

Against the cold hard wall,

A monster tries to stall,

Scraping the stone rocks,

‘SCREECH, SCREECH’

Many screams of fright,

Trying to reach the light,

Is that why they all hate night?

Fear takes over.

Countless children running,

Not many stops to help,

Crying and shouting in fear,

As the young ones all split up.

Friendships torn apart,

The part that really mattered,

Shriveled into dust,

A small thing parted.

The moon has turn blood red,

They were all led,

By the fear, the screech,

Of the monster’s great claws.
