A Normal Day.
It was a normal day, and I was terrified.
All around me people were going about their day like nothing was wrong.
What was wrong with them?!
I stood alone in my house, staring out the window. The only noise was the faint hum from my tv.
I felt like I was the only one paying attention to what was about to happen.
Then again, maybe, all the people I was watching go about their day simply wanted a sense of normality.
Like it was just another day of waking up, kissing their spouse goodbye before getting in their car to go to work.
Maybe for them, ignorance really was bliss.
Not for me.
I didn’t bother going into work, or even dressed, what was the point?
My tv bleeped again in the background and I turned to it, turning my back on the happiness outside.
I stood in front of my tv, watching it grimly.
“15 minutes til impact.”
