Write a poem about the experience of dancing under the stars.

A Starlight Revel

Around a lonesome hawthorn tree

The fairies dance in revelry,

Beneath the dark and cloak of night,

The swirl of stars shine with their might.

The fairies frolic, they sway and beam, Drinking from cups of the sweetest cream.

All reveling 'round they dance in threes,

Twirling like stars, delighting merrily.

They feast on fruits with golden shines

Drinking the creams of dizzy wines,

And then take hands of all those near

To dance away for many years.

The faeries feet, they never bruise

The fae need not of mortal shoes,

To dance on stones and dirt and grass

Their footsteps delicate like glass.

In a circle the faeries dance and twirl

All swaying, turning, and prancing in swirl.

Under the moons mirth and delight

Is a dance fueled by the sky’s starlight.

And to all humans that pry their dance

Under the stars they peek a glance,

The faeries beat them blue and red

And leave them to their mortal dread.

Dancing under starlights gaze

The faeries frolic in a craze,

With clothes of silk and golden rings

The stars are what a revel brings.
