There’s A Bully Out There

A solid hit to the jaw

Several painful kicks I’m sure

Hands like hammers on her head

Red and blue lights and blood, she’s dead.

Troubled teens whip out their phones

Harsh winds disturb the pile of bones

bully with murderous intent

Tears spill, a summer ill spent

They say that it is all okay

But I play crippled anyway

I could have pulled a bully back

Stopped her light bleeding into black.

My fatal flaw, my indecision

I’ll shut them out for fear of hurt

avoid the mental collision

Thinking: sticky crimson on her shirt

Now as the sirens blare their song

hope to God the bully’s long gone

Will it go away- will it not?

Red and blue will make my mind rot.
