Serial Killer Smile
“I think I just met the happiest person in the world!” I gasp, leaning back in my chair. My eyes are fixed on the events unfolding on the other side of the funny mirror.
In the interrogation room, a tall man slouches on his chair, one leg up on the table. He’s black hair fallen in front of his eyes, and his hands beaten and bruised. Yet he was so calm, so happy to be questioned by my colleague, D.C Solomon Bell. He sat with a devilish smile on his face.
“ I don’t understand, why would he be so happy when you’re being questioned about a string of murders?” My other colleague, Jasmine asks rhetorically, as she comes to sit next to me as we both watch.
“Jordan, you understand what we’re charging you with here? Seven cases of murder!” Solomon explains
“I know! And, like I’ve already told you, it was me!” He growls, that smile still sitting on his face.
“But why? Why would you confess so eagerly to such horrific crimes? You aware you’ll be serving a lengthy prison sentence, if not life!” Solomon continues
“ Look, I don’t care what happens to me anymore. Lock me up and throw away the key for all I care! All I care about is that these people are dead! They can’t hurt me now, can they?” He exclaims as he begins to chuckle “ the way I see it,I’m winning!” He begins to laugh even more, even louder. He turns to look at us through the funny mirror, still laughing.
“He sure has the smile of a serial killer.”
