My friends around me

Are all gathered together

Blending into the surroundings

Their words get louder

But I don’t recognize the language

Seconds passing like hours

They seem to not notice

I blankly force a smile

When they ask for group photos

In the pictures they post

Im stuck in the middle

Yet I feel like a ghost

I stare at my plate

An untouched salad

I plan to throw away

I forget to breathe in

I just want this to end
