Echoes of innocence
_“In the hushed twilight’s glow._
_A symphony from my childhood,_
_I uncover a whispered tune,_
_Underneath the watchful moon._
_With every creek of age,_
_each wrinkle tells a tale, _
_Where dreams never would pale,_
_Summers spent in wonder._
__
_I once roamed tranquil meadows, _
_With daisies in my hair, _
_Chasing clouds like ships_
_that sailed on the breeze, both gentle and rare._
_I’d twirl and spin in warm sunlight,_
_A treasure beyond compare, _
_Each moment fleeting and pure._
__
_In the echoes of innocence past, oh the playgrounds still encourage me._
_A place where imagination thrived and purity held fast._
_The slides continue to gleam with rust, _
_The swings sway in memory._
_It’s the child that I trust._
_In that sacred mute.”_
