POEM STARTER
Heavy rain, cracked windows, and a forgotten song.
Use these descriptors as inspiration for a poem.
Time
“Do you still remember me?”
The rain never stopped.
I remember telling you once
how the ending had been locked.
But you looked at me with ivy eyes
And dashed to finish the tale.
By the time I looked into the sky
I knew you had prevailed.
By now, your story had been told
Time had taken charge
You saved countless lives and yet,
Words were whispered in the dark.
A blazing fire, a loving friend;
All tales of you now lacked.
For now, your story had been told
Your gravestone had already cracked.
But the storm you defied
Is still up in the sky,
and a new hero must take charge.
For time is fleeting,
the village deserted,
But legends never die.
