WRITING OBSTACLE
Write a story that includes a refrain that changes its meaning in the course of its narrative.
An easy way to do this may be to use a phrase that contains homographs - words that are spelt the same but have different meanings - allowing you to change the meaning of the phrase.
August
The hallway after summer
The doorway to fall
The beginning of winter
The halfway of summer.
The rain is a bit cool
The grass a bit long
The splash in the pool
The sun a tad hot.
The laughs on the beach
The walks in the woods
The picnic in the park
The late night hide and go seek
The over looked month
The over seen days
The skipped over joy
The passed by rays
The month between
The sun
The snow
The leaves falling and grass green
The month of between
The month of a mix
The month of august
The month of beautiful things
