Hot

The phone resting on the nightstand chirped and buzzed. Caleb ignored it in favor of his Tinder date. She was way too hot to be distracted from. Way hotter than his usual hookup, Brittany. Though that was unfair to Brittany she was as great girl who obviously had some personal stuff to figure out.

They got back to fumbling around in his undersized bed. The room was dim and as Caleb scaled down to the foot of the bed, he occasionally stole a look at his smoking hot parter, but was mostly wrapped up in a singular objective and a tangle of legs.

The final time he looked up, he was pridefully beaming at his achievement, when all of a sudden this new girl was staring back at him, which was awesome right up until the moment that her eyes grew a bright burning red.

They reminded him of a stoplight as both he and she came to a screeching halt. Caleb stopped what he was doing and clumsily fell back from the bed and onto the floor. “What the hell Lili?!?” he exasperated from nearly across the room, reaching uselessly for a shirt or weapon or something to hold onto.

“Actually, my friends call me Lilith. Speaking of calls, you should really check your phone.” She tossed it to him and he was scared to catch it, treating it like a hot potato. He kept his gaze on her before finally settling his eyes on the screen.

He’d relieved 4 texts, 2 calls, and 1 voicemail from an unknown number. Well, what seemed like only part of a phone number. He ignored the texts and instead dialed 5829 and waited for an answer.

When she picked up, the woman on the other line introduced herself as Lucy, and said that she’d be picking him up in a few minutes for a little chat with her friend D.

Caleb’s head spun, and he frantically searched his apartment for a jacket, seeing the snow scatter about the yard outside and the wood burning stove in the corner of his house.

Lili let out a sly giggle, and just whispered barely loud enough for Caleb to hear, “you won’t need that where you’re headed honey”.
