I’ll never forget the first time I told Tech that I loved him. It was while we were on a mission and I was corned by two inquisitors. I had escaped but at the expense of losing my right leg from the knee down.

I blacked out as I was walking and I saw him running toward me. I gave a weak smile and felt myself nearly hit the ground, but I didn’t. He caught me. As I was waking up in the barracks I saw that I was hooked up to a few machines and Tech was asleep at the foot of my bed, holding my right hand.

“Tech,” I had barely said over a whisper. “I love you,” I said smiling weakly at his sleeping form. I knew I’d regret it if I didn’t say right now before passing out once again. I just hope he heard me.
