I almost didnt

My knickles white, I left behined some bruises

My fingers had giripped so tight you cried

Maybe if i had learned how to hold you gently things would be different

Maybe if i had learned how to love you without breaking you things would be different

But I didnt

Because I couldn’t be bothered to

So i wish i had never let go

Because if i could go back in time and change that, i would change it all

But I cant

So for now ill have to be glad i let you go

Glad that i though of you first for a change

Because i know you never would have let me go
