Water
I was told that water drips from you
Through your care, through your effort
You establish a ravish need
To take the salt out from the sea
To feed the seams you’ve seen
So they may continue
Continue to flow
Your sweat is the blood you know
The type you eat to make it yours
Injest to rejoice
But the water will flow out again
That is not your choice
So you stammer out your voice
And you open up wide
To consume the substance
Fueling all the living seen in eyes
But under that guise
In disguise
A crooked poison starts to rise
Surmised to take you by surprise
And rush the known blood
Make it burst out of your iris
To make Stillwater of your growth
So your soil stands to rot
Clogs your pores full of oil
Freeze in fear so you cannot
Stand to take more
Because you open up the doors
To what lives in us all
The serenity of humanity
And its underbelly
Malice
Take the water that you need
And you fill it with madness
So the water that you give
End ups
Just as tragic
