It was Megan’s turn to bat. Everyone on the team knew that she was the best batter they’ve got. She was the one that bought a bat for the team since the sports at their school was under funded because all the money went almost exclusively to football. The bat was a sleek matte black and it was everyone’s favorite so Megan left it at the school during the week but she brought it home on the weekends so she could practice with her father.
